Yarn: Kelbourne Woolens, Scout DK (3.5oz/100g,
274yd/250m, 100% wool): Scarlet Heather, 1 skein.
OR
The Fibre Co, Cumbria (3.5oz/100g, 238yd/217, 90% wool and10% mohair): Catbells, 1 skein.

Needles: US6/4.0mm and US7/4.5mm 16” circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge. Also small circumference needles in larger size for crown decreases.
Tapestry needle
Scrap yarn for provisional cast-on (optional)

Gauge
22 stitches x 27 rows = 4”/10cm in garter stitch.

Circumference: 16 (17.5, 19, 20.25)”/ 40.5 (44.5, 48.25, 51.5)cm. This hat is designed to be worn with 1-2”/2.5-5cm negative ease.
